About the role:
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on Samsara’s New Product team, you will design and develop a new product across a broad surface area, driving impact for both current and future customers. This role is ideal for a passionate builder who thrives on the challenge of developing new products from the ground up, working across backend, frontend, and mobile stacks. You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of features, from architectural design through to release, ensuring the product meets the high standards our users expect.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

In this role, you will:
- Work with product managers, designers, and engineers from various teams to architect, build, test, and deliver a new product across front-end, back-end, and mobile.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, reliability, and user experience of our new product.
- Propose technical solutions and spearhead technical solutioning on some of the team’s initiatives.
- Help mentor, develop, and support other engineers on the team.
- Maintain a regular feedback loop to allow for implementation iterations and making adjustments.

Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software development.
- Strong programming/coding fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions.
An ideal candidate also has:
- AWS knowledge and expertise.
- Experience in React Native.
- Experience delivering a new product.
- Enjoyment for understanding our users and what would make their day-to-day processes easier to manage.
- Love for shipping features that are immediately used by our customers.
