Senior Business DevelopmentManager–Asia/ANZ

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for guiding, coaching, and developing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to achieve aggressive quarterly targets and drive revenue growth for a cloud/SaaS environment in the Asia and ANZ markets. This involves building a consistent, predictable, and scalable pipeline of sales qualified leads through a blend of inbound and outbound strategies, while fostering close alignment with Sales and Marketing teams.
Core elements of the Senior Business Development Manager role:
Lead and Mentor: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of BDRs, fostering their development and success. Provide ongoing performance feedback, conduct performance reviews, and cultivate a high-performing team culture.
Strategic Prospecting: Guide the team in executing daily prospecting activities, including identifying, qualifying, and cultivating leads through a blend of inbound and outbound techniques. This includes strategic planning, intelligent calling, targeted prospect research, utilising intent buying signals, and leveraging various channels like social media, email, phone, events, and chats.
Drive Qualified Opportunities: Ensure the team effectively utilizes sophisticated prospecting tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, Sales Navigator, 6Sense, Lusha) to generate qualified leads and set appointments, adhering to internal qualification processes and guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong partnerships with Marketing and Sales teams, actively participating in organisational POD formations to ensure alignment and drive revenue growth across all market segments (Mid-Market, Commercial, and Enterprise).
Performance Management:Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of qualified opportunities, appointments set and conversion rates. Deliver measurable results in concise reports to senior management and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Market Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the Asiaand ANZ markets, including industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Contribute to the overall sales strategy for the region.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
