Your mission
To grow our team in Spain, we are looking for a Data Engineer (f/m/d) to help us build the future.
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that support the organization's data-driven initiatives. This role will focus on developing robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, DBT (Data Build Tool), and other modern technologies to ensure the availability of clean, accurate, and timely data for business analytics and decision-making. The Data Engineer collaborates with data scientists, analysts, and software developers to ensure that data architecture aligns with company needs.
Your profile
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data pipelines, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehouses.
- Develop and maintain data lakes and data marts.
- Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
- Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.
- Optimize data performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to data users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data technologies and trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
TechnicalSkills: - Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture.
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and integration techniques.
- Proficiency in Python (or another programming language) for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with data integration tools like Airbyte or dbt.
- Tools/Frameworks: DBT (Data Build Tool), Airflow (or similar orchestration tools), Git
SoftSkills: - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies and architectures.
- Certification in relevant data engineering or cloud technologies.
