Job Description
Are you a storyteller who can turn complex ideas into simple, resonant messages? Freshworks is looking for a Product Marketing Manager - Foundational Messaging to craft the narratives that power our brand: from event keynotes and analyst briefings to executive presentations and global campaigns.
You'll shape the way the world perceives Freshworks and our people-first AI service platform, translating technical depth into inspiring, customer-centric messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and evolve Freshworks' foundational messaging frameworks— defining core value propositions, messaging pillars, proof points, and audience alignment.
- Craft the central narrative and storyline for major strategic moments—global events, user conferences, vision and keynote addresses, analyst briefings, and executive-level presentations.
- Establish and enforce guidelines to ensure product, field, marketing, and communications teams remain aligned to the foundational message and maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Distinguish Freshworks' narrative in the market—especially around our AI, service, and experience-platform capabilities—by identifying competitive differentiation and supporting category creation.
- Partner with executive communications and brand teams to build and support decks, keynote scripts, vision documents, and leadership-level materials that tell the Freshworks story with clarity and impact.
- Serve as a key partner to the Analyst Relations team: provide core messaging assets, briefing materials, and ensure Freshworks is positioned strongly in analyst reports and market narratives.
- Translate product roadmaps, customer insights, and market trends into strategic storytelling opportunities.
- Shape the strategic messaging backbone for event keynotes, vision decks, analyst briefings, and executive presentations.
- Create training materials, reference guides, slide and content templates, talking points, and internal tools that enable field teams and spokespeople to deliver on our foundational messaging.
- Ensure message consistency across global teams and channels.
Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/week (Tues - Thurs) from our Bellevue, WA office.
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience in product marketing or strategic communications, preferably in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
- Proven track record of developing executive-level messaging and positioning frameworks
- Skilled at translating complex technology into simple, compelling, and customer-centric language
- Exceptional storytelling, written, and verbal communication skills—comfortable writing for executives, analysts, keynotes, and enabling field teams
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguity—owning the narrative in growth-oriented, transformative environments
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across product, marketing, sales, and leadership teams
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically—managing multiple high-visibility deliverables under tight deadlines
- Experience with AI/ML, customer service platforms, or IT solutions is a plus

Additional Information
The annual base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $200,000. This role is also eligible for a target bonus.
Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
