The Business Development Manager is responsible for guiding, coaching, and developing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) & Direct Response Representatives (DRR) for success in a cloud/SaaS environment.
The BDR team uses a variety of inbound and outbound sales tactics to build a solid pipeline of Sales Qualified Leads, foster engagement, and accelerate the sales cycle for new prospects.
The Business Development Senior Manager is responsible for meeting assigned targets and KPI metrics within the regional business. They will maintain a close partnership and aloignment with the Local Sales Leaders and the other Marketing Team professionals to build a consistent, predictable, and scalable pipeline for revenue growth.
Core elements of the Business Development Senior Manager role:
- Coach, mentor, and manage a team of BDRs on selling tactics. Help them identify, qualify, and cultivate sales opportunities through a blend of outbound and inbound techniques, including email, multi-threading, research, lead generation, and qualification activities.
- Achieve aggressive quarterly targets.
- Work closely with Sales Teams and other Marketing Team Professionals to provide qualified meetings and sales opportunities. Ensuring a high win conversion success rate for partner programs.
- Work closely with Regional Sales & Marketing managers to develop account plan strategies.
- Analyze data to provide feedback to Marketing managers about campaigns.
- Collaborate with other Business Development managers on initiatives and suggest new strategies for the broader BDR function.
- Build knowledge of industry-leading prospecting tools and train the team in their effective use.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
Experience leading or coaching a team in a sales-oriented environment with a proven track record of achieving results.
5+ years' experience in outbound prospecting or inside sales, preferably within IT/cloud solutions.
Proven experience in change management.
Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms.
Experience in the developing of team members helping to achieve their best potential
Excellent tenacity and resilience.
Excellent attitude and capabilityto build relationships with various stakeholders.
Effective time management, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to develop compelling strategies that deliver results, with strong attention to detail.
