Snowflake is actively seeking a Telecommunications Industry Principal to join our Global Industry Go-to-Market team. This team is made up of subject matter experts that come from the industry. They serve an internal strategy role as well as an external customer-facing role to provide context and establish credibility on how Snowflake can deliver on business use cases and outcomes.
In this role you will be responsible for working with our field sales leadership, sales teams and customer executives to develop and close new business for targeted accounts within the Telecommunications Service Provider industry vertical. You will act as a visionary and an industry expert as it pertains to applying data, analytics and AI capabilities to help Telecom Operators achieve their business transformation goals. You will have the opportunity to apply your successful track record of building, overseeing, and developing Telecom solutions & go-to-market strategies.
You will collaborate closely with current and prospective customers acting as a trusted industry advisor to understand their challenges and goals, and position Snowflake as a solution.
Responsibilities:
Provide industry experience and insight within our most strategic Telecom accounts developing account strategies, building trusted relationships, and presenting Snowflake’s vision for the industry to a C-level audience.
Build customer-facing industry content to support sales engagements.
Build strategic relationships with the Telecom vertical ecosystem including customers, partners, and data providers.
Partner with industry architects and industry marketing teams to develop and drive a cohesive industry go-to-market strategy.
Collaborate to further strengthen the industry enablement strategy within the organization, including leadership of “Industry Communities of Practice”.
Collaborate with Product Management and Industry Architect Teams to inform on industry trends and requirements, prioritize and deliver industry-specific capabilities in future product roadmaps and drive Snowflake’s product vision into the market.
Partner with marketing teams to drive industry awareness and pipeline development via thought leadership presentations at industry conferences and trade shows.
Oversee account prioritization, solution and sales play creation to help educate and enable sales, sales engineers, pre-sales and customer success teams.
Collaborate with partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISV partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
15+ years in Telecommunications Service Provider industry experience – in consulting roles or directly for Telecom Operators.
Leadership experience in driving GTM programs related to Data, Analytics and AI.
Experience leading change and influencing corporate strategy, comfortable in C-level business environments with an ability to quickly establish credibility with senior leadership.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Fluency in Japanese and English.
Undergraduate degree, advanced degree preferred.
The ability to travel 20-30% for business purposes.
