Job Description
As a Revenue Accounting - Lead (Reseller Commissions and other initiatives), your role will be a combination of leading a team managing commissions to third party reselling partners, product partners, managing commission queries, reporting to management on process related issues, accounting and preparing analytical insights into partner commissions to the management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reports for partner commissions, assist with month-end closing and reporting activities.
- Manage stakeholders communications for any exceptions, deviations issue resolutions.
- Ensuring monthly commission payments happen accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Channel Sales org on various initiatives and process changes.
- Partnering with multiple stakeholders to identify and drive process improvements.
- Support overall business unit reporting requirements.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the systems that are critical to the partner commissions process.
- Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects and provide direct support to the management team.
- Ability to support external audit related queries.
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to establish and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with various teams across the company to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- CA preferred
- Work experience of 3+ years; preferably with a background in SOX/ICFR control frameworks.
- Experience in financial operations, audit and accounting are a bonus.
- Understanding of revenue recognition principles and related accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks, analyze complex data, and provide practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills required, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilities.
