Description We are currently looking for a Weekly Babysitter in San Diego, CA (92131). A wonderful family in Scripps Ranch is looking for a regular sitter primarily for their 18 month old daughter and occasionally for their 5 year old daughter. Care will generally be needed on a weekly basis, at least 6 hours per week, to support one or both parents as they are working from home or if they need to leave the home. An ideal candidate will have experience with child development and will utilize a gentle and soft-spoken caregiving style. Schedule:
Weekdays between the time frame of 9am and 5pm 6 hours per week (on average) Some weekend date night availability preferred Family is generally able to provide 3-5 days notice of care needs Start date: ASAP End Date: Long Term 2 children:
Primary care for 18 month old Occasional care for 5 year old (after school and weekends only) Rate: $25/hr Responsibilities Engaging and age appropriate activities, focusing on developmental milestones Light housekeeping Maintaining child’s schedule as set by parents Meals and snacks as-needed, being mindful of dietary needs and restrictions Support with exercises and developmental activities provided by physical/occupational/speech therapist Requirements 5+ years of paid, professional toddler care experience Driver’s License + reliable vehicle Minimum of a high school diploma Legally authorized to work in the United States CPR certified or willing to become certified Smoking is not permitted on the premises Child development/special needs background a bonus but not required Compensation + Benefits This position pays $25 per hour, and the family is looking for weekly care (generally 6+ hours.)
