Description We are currently looking for a Babysitter in Oakland, CA (94609). A wonderful family in North Oakland is looking for an occasional babysitter for their active and energetic 1.5 year old son. Care will be on an as-needed basis when the child is unable to attend his regular daycare center due to closures or feeling under the weather and for coverage on occasional evenings when one or both parents are at events.
On weekdays during working hours, one or both parents will be working from home while the sitter is present. During evenings, one parent may be present or both may be away.
An ideal candidate will have previous toddler experience and an engaging and hands-on caregiving style. Schedule:
Occasional/as-needed (no guaranteed hours) Weekdays, 9am to 5pm Weekday evenings, typically 4:30pm-7:30pm or 8:30pm Family is flexible on care days, but weekday/daytime availability is required for this position Upcoming care need: April 24th End Date: Long Term 1 child: 1.5 years old Rate: $35/hr Responsibilities All aspects of toddler care for 1 child Engaging and age appropriate activities Tidying after the child (as schedule allows) Requirements 2+ years of paid, professional toddler care experience Driver’s license preferred Minimum of a photo ID required
Legally authorized to work in the United States Minimum of a high school diploma CPR certified or willing to become certified Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check Compensation + Benefits This position pays $35 per hour, and the family is looking for occasional/as-needed back-up care.
