Description We’re currently looking for a Babysitter in San Francisco (94117) A lovely family in Cole Valley, San Francisco seeking a warm, dependable babysitter for their two children, an almost 6-year-old and an almost 2-year-old. Care would be needed on one weekday evening from 4pm to 8pm and on Saturday evenings from 4pm to 8pm. Care will be needed until June 15th with the possibility of continued needs in August. Candidates need not be able to commit to August coverage at this time - just through June. The ideal candidate is someone who truly enjoys spending time with children, leads with empathy and kindness, and is confident in holding boundaries with warmth and clarity. You’re engaging, playful, and excited to form meaningful connections with both the children and parents. You’re also dependable, communicative, and attentive to the rhythms of a family household. Schedule: 2 days per week (1 flexible weekday + Saturday evenings preferred) 4 hour shifts from 4pm to 8pm Occasional + additional coverage possible in the future Start date: ASAP End date: Mid-June w/ needs resuming in August Rate: $30-35 per hour Responsibilities Create a fun, nurturing, and safe environment through play, reading, and learning activities Dinner preparation with and without the children Dinner cleanup and kitchen reset post-bedtime Light housekeeping in alignment with the family's needs Lead and maintain bedtime routines consistently and calmly Communicate proactively with parents: share highlights, relay concerns, and ensure transparency Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States 2+ years of paid, professional childcare experience Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references CPR certified or willing to become certified Has valid photo ID and own reliable transportation Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check Mandarin speaking is a plus but not required Compensation Position pays $30-35 per hour and family is looking for care 8 hours per week.
