The ability to advance Snowflake’s data governance and privacy capabilities is a critical foundational pillar for a modern and performing Data Cloud. The Data Governance team builds new capabilities to empower customers to easily and efficiently govern their data at scale in the Data Cloud. We enable customers to identify and track sensitive data, control the access to sensitive data with granular policies, create synthetic versions of the data, know the lineage of the data, and unlock the full potential of data by making it easier to collaborate across clouds in a governed manner.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team to work on innovative new features to expand Snowflake leadership in data governance and privacy. This role is a good fit for an experienced product manager who is both passionate and hands-on.
AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER, YOU WILL:
Define and execute the product vision for Snowflake’s native capabilities to automate sensitive data protection.
Engage with customers to understand their most pressing governance, privacy, and data security needs and translate them into product enhancements.
Drive adoption of data protection policies and synthetic data generation products, and measure the success and overall impact on Snowflake.
Manage customer preview programs and engage in frequent conversations with customers both to understand their needs, gather feedback, and overall ensure that product direction is in tune with customer needs.
Manage and structure projects to ensure smooth execution of the product roadmap.
Drive integration of Snowflake native governance and privacy capabilities with strategic partners in the broader data governance ecosystem.
Be a technical, strong and eloquent advocate for data governance through blog posts, webinars, and talks at internal and external conferences.
OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER FOR WILL HAVE:
Must have 5+ years of working experience in a relevant technical role with at least 2 years in product management
Must have significant experience working with Engineering in a fast-paced product development environment
Demonstrated track record of shipping at least one successful data governance, privacy, or security offering in the cloud.
Have proven experience defining a roadmap and managing incremental execution through successful launches
Have excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical design to multiple audiences and stakeholders
Be highly data driven, knowing how to get, understand, and use data to make the best possible decisions
BS/MS in Computer Science or related major, or equivalent experience.
BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Strong understanding of data governance ecosystem, products, and technologies
Hands-on experience working with database systems as a data engineer or data scientist
Strong understanding of competitive data platform landscape
Experience building products for Machine learning, generative AI, or related AI technologies
