Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer/Content Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation and content for our cutting-edge software products. You will work closely with development teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and user-friendly documentation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, online help systems, and API documentation
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to gather and understand complex technical information
- Create clear, concise, and engaging content that meets the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high quality
- Implement and maintain documentation standards and best practices
- Review and edit content created by other team members for accuracy, consistency, and clarity
- Participate in the continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in technical communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing or content development, preferably in the software or IT industry
- Advanced writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in technical documentation tools such as MadCap Flare or Adobe FrameMaker
- Experience with content management systems and version control
- Knowledge of markup languages (e.g., HTML, XML) and API documentation
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to various audiences
- Experience in creating user manuals, online help systems, and API documentation
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Technical writing certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Technical Communicator) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
