Our Mission
At hyperexponential, we’re changing the way global insurers approach pricing. In a world where big decisions like launching rockets or building skyscrapers rely on insurance, many of the industry’s most important pricing models still run on outdated tools like Excel.
That’s why we built hx Renew, a powerful platform that automates pricing, processes data at scale, and delivers advanced models in under 30 minutes. With over £45 billion in Gross Written Premium flowing through our platform and $73 million raised in Series B funding, we’re now scaling globally with offices in London, Warsaw, and New York.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Legal and Operations Support Associate to help build and shape our Legal and Business Operations function alongside our Head of Legal. This is a unique opportunity to be the first person in this role and play a key part in supporting our ambitious global expansion.
You’ll work across legal, supplier management, and compliance, helping operationalise scalable frameworks and automate processes that enable us to grow efficiently. If you enjoy building from scratch, collaborating across teams, and turning legal complexity into practical workflows, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll also work closely with teams across the business including Revenue Operations, Marketing, Engineering, and FP&A, acting as a connector between legal strategy and operational execution. This is a collaborative role, requiring strong communication skills and a willingness to build structure in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier and Vendor Management
Manage supplier relationships using automated tools and checklists to ensure contract compliance and performance standards.
Support the onboarding and selection of vendors, ensuring they meet hx’s procurement policies and quality expectations.
Legal & Contract Operationalisation
Assist in reviewing and operationalising legal contracts, especially sales and customer agreements.
Create scalable workflows to monitor contract status, alert on clause expirations, and ensure compliance.
Compliance & Risk Framework Support
Contribute to key compliance initiatives including GDPR, DORA, and other regulatory frameworks.
Help embed governance policies and educate the wider business on legal, data, and risk protocols.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
Collaborate with Legal, Revenue Ops, Marketing Ops, Engineering, and FP&A to align supplier and compliance processes with broader business needs.
Design and implement low-maintenance, tech-enabled processes to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in legal, compliance, operations, procurement, or governance support, ideally within a high-growth tech or SaaS environment
Familiarity with supplier management, contract review, and risk or compliance tracking processes
Understanding of legal frameworks such as GDPR, intellectual property, data processing, and DORA is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to introduce and scale process improvements, with a focus on automation and efficiency
Comfortable working cross-functionally with teams such as Revenue Ops, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and align across functions
A tech-savvy, proactive mindset with an interest in how AI and automation can improve legal and operational workflows
Experience with tools such as Jira Service Management, Notion, and PowerBI is a bonus
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
You Shouldn't Apply If
You lack enthusiasm for AI and innovative technology
You are uncomfortable navigating ambiguity and are not adaptable to shifting priorities
You prefer working in isolation and avoid collaborating
You are not a proactive self-starter with an ambitious vision
