Snowflake is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales and Solution Engineering Onboarding to lead our onboarding strategy and team for new field sellers. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales Enablement, you'll play a critical role in rapidly enabling our Account Executives (AEs), Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), and Solution Engineers (SEs) to understand our offerings and quickly become productive. This role requires three days onsite per week in our Menlo Park offices.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
Strategize & Execute: Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding strategy designed to accelerate the productivity of AEs, SEs, and SDRs.
Lead & Mentor: Manage a dedicated team of professionals focused on the creation and monthly execution of role-specific onboarding programs.
Measure Impact: Oversee the measurement and reporting of all onboarding initiatives, utilizing Kirkpatrick's measurement model (levels one to three) to specifically track observed behaviors and program effectiveness.
Coordinate Training: Oversee and help lead our monthly in-person Boot Camps held at our Menlo Park office, as well as all virtual onboarding training sessions.
Content Excellence: Maintain and evolve our eLearning onboarding content for AEs, SEs, and SDRs, ensuring it covers our sales process, product offerings, and operational processes.
Collaborate & Support: Assist in developing and presenting training content for internal events like our Sales Kick-Off (SKO), as needed.
Align with Goals: Partner closely with the enablement and leadership teams to refine onboarding plans that directly support our segment strategies and business objectives.
Seamless Transition: Collaborate with "Everboarding" teams to ensure a smooth and continuous learning journey for our field teams from onboarding to ongoing development.
Consult Globally: Serve as a consulting partner to the global leaders and deliver programming to all field segments.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM ON DAY ONE:
Bay Area Based: You must reside in the Bay Area, CA, and be willing to work from our Menlo Park office at least three days per week.
Experience Matters: A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on onboarding within the enterprise software space.
Learning Design: Experience in learning design (e.g. Bloom taxonomy) and measurement (e.g. Kirkpatrick framework), enablement tooling (Learning management, content management, and Articulate/RISE), gamification, and program management across multiple stakeholders.
Agile: Experience working in a fast-changing environment that requires strategic thinking, resourcefulness, agility, results-oriented decision-making, and commitment to excellence.
Technical Acumen: A technical background, particularly within the data industry, is highly preferred.
Snowflake Knowledge: Direct experience with Snowflake is a significant plus.
Education: A Bachelor's degree. An MBA is a plus.
Design & Delivery: Proven experience in designing and building both on-demand and in-person training content.
Stakeholder Management: The ability to secure executive sponsorship and gain support from diverse internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners to successfully deliver programs.
Agile: Experience working in a fast-changing environment that requires strategic thinking, resourcefulness, agility, results-oriented decision-making, and commitment to excellence.
Business Savvy: Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Communication: Exceptional attention to detail in written communications.
Tech Proficiency: Skilled in using Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Slack.
Strong consultative skills: Ability to conduct discovery, create solutions to problems, and facilitate workshops/learning opportunities.
