Position Overview
This role requires a unique blend of SaaS startup expertise, customer relationship skills, product intuition, and technical acumen to support application configuration and customer implementation in our high-growth customer landscape.
As an Implementation Engineer, you will collaborate closely with customer security programs to enhance their operations with the HiveWatch GSOC OS SaaS platform. Implementation team members collaborate closely with Product to define requirements and facilitate desired outcomes, as well as Engineering to ensure proper configuration and a tight feedback loop. You'll leverage your deep technical support and operational experience to understand customer needs, implement technical solutions, and ensure our platform delivers measurable security outcomes in their environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Execute timely implementations of the HiveWatch GSOC OS SaaS platform for customer security programs
- Collect pertinent system and security program information while building relationships within customer security teams and technical teams
- Create and deliver customer facing documentation regarding configuration changes and new and enhanced features
- Deeply understand both technical and customer facing components of our software products
- Facilitate delivery of feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to meet customer use cases and needs
- Work from our headquarters in El Segundo, CA
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TRAITS:
- 5+ years of technical support experience for enterprise customers, whether internal or as an external consultant (MSP)
- A wide knowledge of troubleshooting principles, best practices, and premier support skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience turning complex customer challenges into opportunities
- Experience with Unix/Linux OS including installation and updates, common administrative utilities, package management, and networking & security administration
- On-prem and cloud networking experience including troubleshooting configuring routing, firewall rules & virtual private networks
- Experience working with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, AHV, etc.)
- Experience with API authentication and authorization mechanisms, data serialization, validation, and creating comprehensive documentation
- Experience with Git and CI/CD
- Experience working in one or more major cloud provider environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Desire to work on projects internally and externally with experienced technical personnel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders
- Strong time management, organizational, written and verbal skills
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working directly with Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve technical issues and gather context for unique integrations
- Experience with AWS CLI / Docker / Kubernetes / SQL / Tailscale / Terraform / Python
- Experience with relevant compliance or risk management standards and frameworks
- Experience working closely with Product stakeholders to deliver customer feedback
- Startup experience and/or early stage SaaS experience
- Direct experience supporting a GSOC or SOC environment
- Experience configuring technical components of SaaS Web Applications in conjunction with customer personnel
- Experience working inside of leading Access Control Systems (Lenel, CCURE, Genetec, etc.)
- Experience with security camera providers and streaming / recording technologies
- Experience building custom web or IT applications
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 USD per year
- Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan
