Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Business Finance & Controllership will support the organization’s finance and controllership functions, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and compliance. This role will partner with internal business teams to drive process improvements and ensure robust financial governance in line with regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and business plans in collaboration with various business units.
- Support monthly financial closing, general ledger management, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of MIS reports, financial statements, and variance analysis.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with relevant regulations (RBI, IND AS/IFRS, etc.).
- Work closely with both business finance and controllership teams to analyze business performance and identify areas for cost optimization or process improvement.
- Prepare and review documentation for statutory audits and internal reviews, and coordinate with auditors as needed.
- Utilize ERP and finance tools (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or NBFC-specific systems) for financial data management and reporting.
- Liaise with business stakeholders to facilitate accurate revenue and expense tracking.
- Support in the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical models to provide business insights.
Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in business finance, accounting, or controllership—preferably within the financial services, NBFC, or banking sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and business finance processes.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP/finance systems is an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance (RBI/NBFC guidelines, IND AS, or IFRS) is preferred.
