
Associate DevOps Manager (Remote - LATAM)
Your Role
We are seeking an Associate DevOps Manager to lead automation, scalability, and reliability across our multi-cloud infrastructure. In this role, you’ll mentor engineers, optimize CI/CD pipelines, strengthen security and compliance, and drive observability to ensure high-performance, resilient systems.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Define and drive the DevOps roadmap aligned with business and engineering goals.
- Mentor and coach DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design scalable and secure infrastructure.
- Infrastructure & Operations
- Architect and manage multi-cloud infrastructure with AWS and PNAP (PhoenixNAP).
- Design and maintain Nomad and Consul clusters for container orchestration and service discovery.
- Manage Vault and Keycloak for secrets management, identity and access management, and zero-trust security principles.
- Automation & CI/CD
- Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Implement and enforce infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring of services to reduce manual operations.
- Observability & Reliability
- Build and maintain observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, and Grafana Loki.
- Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs, implement alerting, and ensure proactive system reliability.
- Lead incident response processes, blameless post-mortems, and continuous resiliency improvements.
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
- Security & Compliance
- Integrate DevSecOps best practices into all stages of the software lifecycle.
- Directly enforce IAM, least privilege, and data protection standards.
- Drive secure infrastructure policies, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
Requirements/Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Git, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Knowledge of Nomad, Consul, and Vault is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Eagerness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
