What's the opportunity?
The Procurement coordinator provides expertise in processes and systems, managing the requisition to PO workflow and supporting business partners in the process. The candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of business-wide procurement processes collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to maintain smooth procurement operations. Reporting to the head of procurement, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the procurement process.
What will I be doing?
- Manage the requisition to PO flow, assisting stakeholders in raising requisitions following up until PO is sent to the vendor (Zip) and contract documentation is fully executed (Ironclad). Manage the purchase order process from start to finish (P2P)
- vendor onboarding/vetting - Support internal stakeholders with initial vendor requests and assist supply base with onboarding in Zip
- Provide procurement support and training for stakeholders where necessary - Offer guidance and support to stakeholders during the procurement process
- Create strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are clear and Intercom’s procurement requisition to PO process is followed
- Involved in vendor pricing and commercial (payment terms, discounts, etc.) negotiations.
- Adhere to company's procurement policies and procedures
- Liaise with the Legal team and take first review of Agreements highlighting escalations.
- Review requisitions and make sure that they are complete, that they accurately describe the good/service being purchased and that it captures the agreed price.
- Ensure requisitions are issued in accordance with Interomcom’s requirements before approving them, process and approve in a timely manner
- Collaborate with AP team to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Liaise with systems admin team to resolve day-to-day system challenges for stakeholders
- Assist Sr. Procurement Administrator with monthly reporting and KPIs
- Daily procurement activities - understands and performs daily tactical and operational activities as necessary
What skills do I need?
Minimum of 2 years relevant procurement experienceProven relevant experience with P2P systems, preferably Zip.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- We are looking for a candidate that is detail-oriented, curious, analytical, and has the ability to think outside the box for problem-solving and solutions.
- The individual must demonstrate highly effective collaboration internally and externally, have a passionate focus on success, committed to continuous improvement and operates effectively with minimal supervision
- Experience working with stakeholders internal and external to Intercom
- Capable to deal with urgent and changeable tasks and bring them to timely conclusion

The base salary range for candidates within the Greater Chicago Area is $92,000 - $110,000. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
