Built by People With First-Hand SaaS Experience

The SaaS Jobs was created by operators who have spent years building, growing and hiring inside SaaS businesses.

We have worked with early-stage startups, venture-backed scale-ups and established SaaS companies across multiple markets. We understand the nuances of SaaS hiring because we have lived them first-hand: scaling teams under pressure, hiring across regions, balancing speed with quality, and building functions that support long-term growth.

This experience directly shapes how The SaaS Jobs platform, content and tools are designed.

Our Founder

The SaaS Jobs was founded by Will Steward, a long-time SaaS operator, entrepreneur and investor with nearly two decades of hands-on experience building, scaling and advising software businesses.

Will’s career spans product development, growth strategy, marketing, sales, customer success and talent hiring, giving him a practical, end-to-end understanding of how SaaS companies grow and the people they need at each stage.

First-hand SaaS building experience

Will founded his first SaaS business, File Den, while still in school. The company grew to over 3 million users worldwide, operated with a fully remote team long before remote work was common, and was successfully acquired in 2011. This early experience shaped a deep appreciation for sustainable growth, product-led thinking and the importance of hiring well from the outset.

Since then, Will has founded, co-founded or led multiple SaaS and technology-led businesses, including Cobloom, a SaaS growth consultancy that has worked with B2B software companies to accelerate ARR growth through sales, marketing and customer success strategy. Cobloom also operates The SaaS Jobs platform.

Deep exposure to SaaS hiring and scaling

Through Cobloom and The SaaS Jobs, Will has worked closely with SaaS founders, leadership teams and talent functions across a wide range of company stages, from early traction startups to established scale-ups.

This work has involved:

  • Supporting SaaS companies as they build and scale internal teams
  • Advising on hiring priorities across product, revenue, customer success and operations
  • Observing first-hand where hiring breaks down and how it can be improved

These insights directly inform the structure of The SaaS Jobs platform, its content, and the way roles are presented to candidates.

Broader ecosystem involvement

Beyond operating SaaS businesses, Will has been actively involved in the wider technology ecosystem. He has served in senior governance roles within decentralised technology organisations, including leading the liquidity mining committee at Balancer, where he was responsible for the allocation of significant on-chain incentives to support platform growth.

Since 2023, he has also been an active angel investor, with investments across B2B SaaS, fintech, AI and emerging technology companies. This exposure provides additional perspective on how investors assess teams, leadership and execution: insights that feed back into The SaaS Jobs’ focus on long-term fit and quality hiring.
