The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales, expanding the market, and managing key customer relationships within an assigned territory. The role involves developing sales strategies, leading a sales team, managing distributors and retailers, and ensuring revenue growth for electronic products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve sales targets and business objectives within the assigned area.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue.
- Identify and acquire new customers, dealers, and distributors.
- Negotiate and close deals with B2B and B2C clients.
2. Customer & Dealer Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service and support.
- Provide product training and demonstrations to clients and sales partners.
- Address and resolve customer concerns and escalations.
3. Market Analysis & Business Development
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategic actions.
- Develop new sales channels and partnerships to expand market reach.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of sales executives or representatives.
- Set and track sales targets and KPIs for the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and submit sales forecasts, reports, and market insights.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper stock availability, order processing, and payment collection.
6. Compliance & Brand Representation
- Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Promote brand visibility through effective sales and marketing activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in electronics sales, B2B/B2C sales, or channel management.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of electronics products, distribution networks, and retail sales.
- Proficiency in CRM software, sales forecasting, and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and lead a sales team.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory
