Job Description
- Define and implement test automation strategies for web and API testing.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of automation engineers.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure test coverage through automated test scripts and maintain test cases in test management tools.
- Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards for test scripts.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance automation efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in automation leadership roles.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Strong experience with API automation testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
