Description We’re currently looking for a Part-Time Care Companion in Walnut Creek, California (94595) A lovely woman in the Rossmoor Retirement Community is looking for a temporary care companion to assist her post back-surgery. Care will be needed 2 hours per day, Monday-Friday, for 3 to 6 weeks, and will include assistance with daily household chores and any activities that might require lifting or bending. The ideal candidate will be friendly, patient, and eager to help. They must be comfortable with the three dogs in the home. Schedule: Monday-Friday: 2 hours per day Any two hours between 9am - 12pm is ideal but the family is flexible Start date: Early May (Surgery date TBD) Length of Position: 3 to 6 weeks depending on recovery Rate: $22 per hour Responsibilities Assist with any necessary lifting Help with household chores (laundry, making the bed, taking out the trash) Assist with feeding the dogs Monitor movements and note any concerns Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States 2+ years of paid, professional companion care experience Must be able to provide at least two professional companion or adult care references CPR certified or willing to become certified Has valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check Must be comfortable with the three dogs in the home Compensation Position pays $22 per hour and client is looking for 10 hours of care per week.
