Description We’re currently looking for a Part Time Driver in Pasadena, CA 91106 A lovely family near Old Pasadena is seeking a part-time driver to assist with school pickups and other driving needs for their two teenage daughters, ages 15 and 17, with an immediate start. School pick-up is either Studio City (which is 15 miles from Pasadena) or La Canada (which is 5 miles from Pasadena). School pickups are every other week, 2-3 times per week (Monday-Friday). Every other weekend driving for activities (Friday nights, Saturdays, or Sundays any time between 11am-9pm) may include trips driving up to 30 miles away, on an as-needed basis. The 15-year-old is musically talented, plays guitar, drums, keyboard, and sings. The 17-year-old is creative and artistic, with an interest in video games. The family is seeking a dependable and flexible individual who has experience with driving children. Start date: Immediate End date: June 2025 (for school pickups), but will ramp up activities during the week for summer break; resume school pick ups at the end of August 2025 Schedule: Pick-Ups that occur Monday - Friday: 3:15pm – 3:45pm (pickup in La Canada), or 3:30pm-4:30pm (pickup in Studio City) School pickups from La Canada can be as late as 6pm-7pm some days depending on after school activities Weekends (1-2 times per month - every other weekend): Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, any time between 11am-9pm Compensation: $25-$30 per trip (flat rate for Pasadena to or from La Canada) $45 - $50 per trip (flat rate from Pasadena to/from Studio City) For trips during the weekend, compensation will be negotiated Responsibilities: Driving to and from school and after-school activities Occasional weekend driving for activities Picking up 15 year old at 3:15pm from La Canada and driving home to Pasadena (20 minute drive one-way); picking up 17 year old at 3:30 pm from Studio City and driving home to Pasadena (45 minute drive one-way). Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience (babysitting or nannying, with driving experience) Up-to-date on CPR certification or willingness to renew before starting Legally authorized to work in the U.S High school diploma or equivalent Reliable vehicle to transport children Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and valid driver’s insurance Able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater Able to successfully clear a background + social media check Compensation: This position pays $25-$50 per trip, and the family is looking for 2-3 hours (or more) of driving support every other week.
