Description We’re currently looking for a Part-Time Nanny-Babysitter in Manhattan, NY (10003) A warm and engaging family in Greenwich Village (Manhattan, near NYU) is seeking a part-time nanny/babysitter to care for their fun, easygoing 5-year-old child. This is a long-term position ideal for someone who loves working with children and building a strong relationship with the family. Great position for a college or graduate student located in Manhattan. Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:00pm–6:00pm (Open to adding Tuesday afternoons if additional hours are desired; also open to adding more hours during the summer or school breaks) Start date: ASAP or by June End date: Ongoing Rate: $27–$32/hr (based on experience) 1 child: 5 year old Responsibilities Pick up from school or summer camp (walking a few blocks or taxi/Uber, as needed – reimbursed by parent) Supervise and engage in playtime activities, especially arts & crafts Take child to nearby playgrounds, activities or playdates Prepare or serve dinner for child (meals may be prepped in advance by parent) Support basic grade school-level homework (reading & math) Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States Minimum 3+ years of professional childcare experience with young school-aged children Up-to-date on vaccinations CPR certified, or willing to become certified Must be energetic, playful, and nurturing Enjoys arts & crafts and engaging with young children Able to pass a background check, social media check, and provide 2 references from paid childcare roles Preferably a college or graduate school student attending NYU, New School, Fordham, or any convenient university in NYC Compensation + Benefits Position pays $27–$32 per hour. The family is seeking care for minimum 3 afternoons per week - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, minimum 12 hours per week, with openness to additional hours as available.
