Description We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in San Marcos, CA 92069 A lovely family near Cal State San Marcos is seeking an occasional babysitter for their active 1 year old when their primary nanny is unavailable. Backup care is needed intermittently during the weekdays from 8am-5pm. The family is open to candidates who may only be available for half of this time; i.e. 8am-12pm, 12pm-5pm , etc. The family can typically provide at least a week’s notice prior to when backup care is needed, however, there will be times when care is needed for the next day. The child is very happy and enjoys food, cuddling their stuffed animals, and playing ball. Those applying do not need to be available for all requests, but should understand there are no guaranteed weekly hours for this position . A great candidate will be engaging, flexible, and reliable. Start date: ASAP Length of Position: Long-term Compensation: $28 per hour Schedule: Intermittent - No guaranteed hours Weekdays, 8am-5pm Any availability within this time frame; i.e. Weekdays, 8am-12pm or 12pm-5pm Responsibilities: Bottle + solid feeding Diaper changing Engaging with the child in developmentally appropriate activities Stroller walks to the nearby park Requirements: 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience Valid CPR certification or willing to update Authorized to work in the U.S. High School diploma or equivalent Must be able to provide at least 2 professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check Compensation: This position pays $28 per hour and the family is looking for backup care on an as needed basis.
