Description We’re currently looking for a Backup/Occasional Babysitter in Pleasant Hill, CA (94523) A warm and welcoming family in Downtown Pleasant Hill is seeking a reliable and attentive babysitter for their 19-month-old daughter. This position is ideal for someone experienced with toddlers, with a strong awareness of food allergies and skin sensitivities. The family is looking for someone who can help with their weekday care needs while they work and their daughters daycare is closed. They are also looking for someone who could be available for evenings and weekends on occasion. The ideal candidate will be nurturing and experienced with children with allergies and sensitivities. Start Date: ASAP Upcoming dates: June 9–11: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM June 16: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM Future dates will be shared with provider as time goes forward Ongoing, as-needed care Someone who is available for daytime, evening, and occasional weekend needs. Rate: $35–$40/hour 1 child: 19-month-old Responsibilities Primary care for a 19 month old Support the family’s established routine Engage in age-appropriate play and activities: reading, music, outdoor play, etc. Serve already prepared meals with strict attention to food allergies Oversee nap schedule Diaper changing Monitor and support management of skin allergies (eczema) Light child-related chores (child’s laundry, organizing bedroom & play area, washing dishes. etc). Provide open communication with the parents Requirements High awareness and responsibility when managing food and skin allergies Preferably experienced with children who have allergies or sensitivities 2+ years of experience caring for toddlers CPR certification Able to pass background and social media checks Provide 2 references from paid childcare experience, related to this position Compensation + Benefits This position pays $35–$40/hour. The family is seeking a provider for occasional and backup care, with potential for 8+ hour daytime shifts and occasional evening and weekend care. Helpr is a global backup care benefit.
