The CPE team’s charter is to drive margin for Snowflake’s products and infrastructure, across AWS, Azure, and GCP. We build intelligent systems to visualize and manage cloud spend, detect anomalies, govern resources, and generate actionable optimization insights. We partner across the company to land large-scale architectural changes that cut waste, boost utilization, and improve reliability—transforming engineering intuition into automated infrastructure.

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL:
Design, develop, and scale solutions for data collection, metrics for cloud efficiency.
Build tools and automation to enhance cloud efficiency monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis.
Improve and optimize data ingestion, storage, and query efficiency for efficiency data at scale.
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing cloud resource utilization.
Collaborate with teams across Snowflake to understand needs and implement solutions that improve operational visibility.
Contribute to open-source and industry best practices.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems by participating in on-call rotations and incident management.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
2+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large scale systems in production.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python or C++
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices.
Knowledge or experience in cloud efficiency optimization is a plus.
