Solution Innovation Architect
Summary
We are seeking a Solution Innovation Architect to join our newly formed Solution Innovation team focused on building repeatable solutions for our most strategic customers that capitalize on Snowflake’s emerging product capabilities.
In this role you will be working as a cross-functional team member on building repeatable strategic solutions, enabling solution engineers and customers on these solutions, and continually improving the solutions for customers. You will have the opportunity to put your technical leadership to use, and deliver memorable, high impact solutions that influence Snowflake’s future product and engineering roadmaps.
As a Solution Innovation Architect, you will:
Leverage emerging features and capabilities to create scalable and repeatable solutions for customers
Document technical requirements and create technical solution design and scope
Ensure technical design is flexible enough to be repeatable and scalable
Be responsible for all code development, testing, and remediation of identified issues
Build good rapport and collaborate with cross-functional team members to build best-in-class solutions for scale
Present technical material in an easy-to-understand manner
Apply Snowflake best practices to solution design
Provide thought leadership through external content such as blog posts, webinars, event presentations, and videos
Help shape future innovations by identifying emerging trends, white-space opportunities, and building innovative solutions that expand Snowflake’s product offerings and/or influence Product & Engineering roadmaps
Provide technical expertise on all aspects of Snowflake in relation to Native Application features and capabilities that apply to customers’ solution requirements
Have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle, and comfortable leading customer projects from an internal perspective
Our ideal Solution Innovation Architect candidate will have:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in solution architecture design and implementation
Minimum of 3 years experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role
Direct experience working in the Enterprise SaaS space - AI/ML, Apps, Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Cloud, Analytics and/or Business Intelligence
Deep understanding of on-prem/cloud data platform architectures and databases
Basic understanding of, or some experience with data platform deployments, AI/ML, and enterprise applications
Experience in effectively breaking down complex technical topics for mixed technical and business audiences
Experience in customer-facing roles where you were able to translate customer use cases/needs into technical requirements and design
Organized and able to manage and deliver against multiple projects efficiently and effectively at the same time
Knowledge of SQL, and Javascript, Python, Java, Scala, Go, Ruby or other languages
Knowledge of platform and container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Knowledge of data formats or languages that manage data, including SQL, JSON, AVRO, Apache Parquet or XML
Experience with Open Data table formats like Iceberg and data processing engines like Spark is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
