The Opportunity
We are hiring a Materials Specialist on the Radar Supply Chain Management team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to receiving, storing, monitoring and tracking the movement of LeoLabs parts, equipment & supplies.
In support of the Radar Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams, your contribution will directly help mature our manufacturing efforts as we ramp up our radar deployment schedule.
With locations around the world, you will maintain accurate reporting, lead cycle counts and reconciliation, process inbound/outbound shipments, and provide support to our Logistics team.
This role will be fundamental to our ERP (NetSuite) implementation and maintenance of all transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with competing priorities.
This role requires keen attention to detail, ability to work independently and implementation of new processes. You will join the Radar Deployments Group and report to the Associate Director of Supply Chain Management.
This is an on-site role at our Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
· Identify & name parts, equipment & supplies
· Track, monitor & record all inventory movement into system
· Control & secure inventory flow in/out of hardware assembly room for in-house manufacturing
· Kit and pick material as needed for Engineering Teams and during production
· Assist Manufacturing Engineer for planning production to ensure all material required is sufficient and record changes for Procurement Team
· Work cross functionally with Hardware Engineering, Infrastructure and Accounting Teams for resolving inventory discrepancies
· Perform periodic cycle counts and work with Purchasing team for PO/inventory reconciliation
· Occasional shipping & receiving to domestic and international destinations
· Inspect return material from radar sites and reconcile against documents
· Maintain precise and accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
· Report to management and advise on process improvements
· Fully maintain transactions within ERP and PLM systems
· Support Engineering & Logistics teams and work cross-functionally with various departments
· It is imperative that you have good record keeping and communication skills, as well as have an excellent understanding of what quality work is and why it is important
Qualifications
· 3+ years of inventory control/analysis
· Familiarity with ERP & data entry systems
· Microsoft Office Suite experience required
· Ability to lift 65 lbs, experience with palletizing goods for outbound shipments, ability to use a forklift
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Great written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace
· Desire to learn about components that make up our radar systems
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP system
· Understanding of inventory management, supply/demand basics, and shipping/receiving/RMA process
· Experience working in a small team [startup environment]
Within 1 month, you’ll:
· Complete our on boarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision and team
· Gain an understanding about how your role fits into LeoLabs broader organization
· Understand the basics of day-to-day responsibilities
Within 3 months, you’ll:
· Manage all inventory transactions within the system
· Streamline the product flow process - tracking and receiving inbound shipments. Maintaining inventory levels in stockroom and ensuring accurate counts
· Be actively involved with improvements and lead enhancements where necessary
Within 6 months, you’ll:
· Generate reports on inventory levels and manage discrepancies
· Make recommendations/assist with purchasing related tasks
· Developed a thorough understanding of overarching goals and made necessary changes to help achieve radar build deadlines
Within 12 months, you’ll:
· Have significantly improved inventory flow process, taken ownership of systematic inventory movement throughout organization
· Actively support growth initiatives within supply chain / inventory management in tandem with growth of Leolabs
· Be a critical source of support for other cross-functional team
Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location. The salary range for this position is $88K - $100K + bonus + stock options + benefits
