As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, supporting and maintaining our cloud infrastructure as part of Gong DevOps group integrating within our Mode of Operation, leading daily cooperation with various R&D groups, automating repeatable processes and proactively monitoring our Infrastructure.
You will be joining a highly technological team responsible for managing our cloud environments, optimizing infrastructure, ensuring security and cost efficiency.
In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the company, including R&D, Security, and Product teams, to support the Gong development cycle, automate processes, streamline operations and maintain Gong cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead devops on-call during work hours, supporting Gong development cycle as part of Gong Devops Mode of Operation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with all major stakeholders in the company, including R&D, Security, Product, and more, to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices.
- Automation & Streamlining: Help automate and streamline our operations and processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
- Impactful Contribution: Play a major part in shaping the company’s cloud strategy, with a focus on innovation and long-term success.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with experience in cloud computing technologies (AWS - a plus).
- Scripting & Automation: scripting and automation skills, ideally using Python and bash.
- IaC Tools: familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt and Crossplane.
- GitOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with GitOps and CI/CD methodologies and tools like ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Kubernetes: Proven experience working with Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments.
- Networking & Security: understanding of computer networking fundamentals, REST architecture, and cloud security concepts.
- Java Environment: Experience working in a Java-based environment is a plus.
- Communication & Execution: Excellent communication skills and the ability to execute projects from design to implementation.
- Proactive & Strategic: Self-motivated, creative, and strategic thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
