Job Title: Associate Manager, Accounts Payable
Department & Team: Global Expense Mangement - Accounts Payable
Reports to: Princess Francia, Manager, Global Expense Management (FSSC)

Summary:
Associate Manager, Accounts Payable will be responsible in managing the day-to-day operations processing payments supporting North America, APAC and EMEA Region. This is a people leader role and will be responsible in ensuring SLAs are met as well as achieving KPI’s of the Expense Management service delivery team.
Stakeholders of this role will include the employees, vendors, Procure to Pay team, Controllers, Tax, Treasury Team, Internal Audit, Payroll team and different business units needing the support from the end-to-end Expense Management Process.
The department can be very busy during year end and quarter end and therefore a calm approach is required together with the ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency is an advantage. As such, good communication and organization skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting from validating that invoices have been approved for payment before processing.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and employees by their due dates to avoid business disruptions, avoid late fees and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Conduct quality assurance on payments processing.
- Ensure timely responses to queries and request from the different stakeholders and with the prescribed quality related to vendor payments.
- Ensure compliance, of all processes and payments, with legal and regulatory requirements to avoid fines and penalties.
- Acts as 1st Line support in the escalation channel
- Support and work closely with relevant departments to period-end closing
- Responsible in delivery of the agreed SLA and achieving KPI’s
- Work with Internal Audit team for SOX preparedness initiatives
- Support UAT testing for any process alignments, system related changes including interfaces and support automation related initiatives
- Perform Root Cause Analysis for issues raised/escalated and recommend/propose corrective/preventive action to avoid recurrence and improve internal processes; define, document, and develop process flow
- Work with all relevant departments to maintain correct corporate data and account history
- Works on improvement within Expense Management team to ensure Global Process alignment/improvement and drive standardization
- Support in maintaining a balance between paying suppliers and maintaining healthy cash flow
- Streamline the payment process to reduce manual tasks, prevent errors, and improve processing times to maintain efficiency and minimize the cost of invoice and payment processing
- Coaching of direct reports to actively contribute in the continuous improvement on agreed SLAs and KPIs and to uphold Genesys values at all times.
- Drive projects and initiatives, reports, forecast, SOX controls
- Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 7 years in Accounts payable process and at least 2 years as people manager.
- Graduate of BS Accountancy; CPA preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of accounting -related principles, internal controls, and AP experience; understanding of Purchase to Pay process and data workflows
- Knowledgeable in ERP, preferrable Workday.
- Proficient in MS applications, including but not limited to Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Highly analytical, critical thinking ability and with strong attention to detail and with strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative, strong accountability and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills
- Outstanding organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills able to interact effectively with all departments and levels within the company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; assertive
- Strong customer service and proactiveness.
- Able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision and instructions with high degree of accuracy, consistency and punctuality; with effective time management.
- Ability to handle a high-volume, deadline driven environment; can work under pressure to meet strict deadlines with effective prioritization.
