The Role
We’re looking for a strategic storyteller with a deep love of data to lead our Marketing Insights function at Linktree. This is a brand-new role that will shape how we uncover, craft, and share insights about the creator economy, platform trends, and what’s next in the world of monetization and content.
As our Marketing Insights Lead, you'll be responsible for building the strategy, rhythm, and storytelling approach behind our insights, turning numbers into narratives that inspire our community, our customers, and our internal teams. You'll work closely with data science, comms, content, and product marketing to surface and publish impactful stories across reports, newsletters, and more.
Linktree has been a leader in our space for years and there is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to make our insights function an industry leader as well.
What You’ll Own
- Overall strategy for marketing insights: Roadmap out a clear insights and research content strategy, defining themes, formats, and frameworks that help us tell compelling, credible stories.
- Content production: Lead the production of flagship reports, recurring trend digests, and editorial-style newsletters including managing contractors, research vendors, or freelance writers.
- Influence marketing and product strategy: Ensure insights are accessible and useful across the org, helping fuel campaigns, positioning, GTM strategies, and thought leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Data Science, Brand, Comms, Product Marketing, and Partnerships to identify emerging trends, synthesize platform data, and bring fresh insights to market.
What We’re Looking For
- You’ve led research or insights work in-house at a brand, platform, or agency with strong opinions on how data can drive storytelling.
- You’re fluent in marketing and media metrics, but you know how to translate data into narratives for non-technical audiences.
- You’ve worked across functions (and time zones), and can drive alignment between creative, comms, and analytical teams.
- You’re both strategic and hands-on: you can define a vision, but also ship the first version yourself.
- Bonus if you have experience in platform data storytelling, creator economy trends, or media/editorial environments.
Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $160,000-$175,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.
P.S. If you don’t tick every box in this listing, please don’t rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes – so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
