About Tensec
Tensec is a high-growth, AI-native financial technology company providing global transaction banking and FX services to small and medium-sized businesses. We are operating in multiple international markets, including the U.S. and Brazil and are expanding our Mexican operations, where we will hold a Transmisor de Dinero license issued by the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) at the time this role is filled. Our mission is to deliver inclusive, cross-border financial services with transparency, regulatory integrity, and a customer-centric design powered by cutting-edge AI capabilities.
We design our operations with automation and intelligent systems at the core, and we expect every leader to embrace AI as a driver of efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
Tensec is seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) - Mexico to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the compliance program for Tensec México and oversee and manage regulatory compliance on an ongoing basis under Tensec México’s active CNBV licence. This individual will serve as the designated Oficial de Cumplimiento, acting as the primary point of contact for the CNBV and leading day-to-day compliance operations in Mexico.
In addition to local responsibilities, the CCO will serve as the key compliance contact for Tensec’s overall global compliance program, coordinating with our banking and financial partners in all the markets where Tensec operates today, including Mexico, the United States, and Brazil. This role will ensure consistent communication of our global compliance framework, harmonize regulatory approaches across jurisdictions, and foster strong relationships with external partners to maintain operational and regulatory alignment.
Because Tensec is an AI-native company, this leader must be passionate about applying AI to compliance — identifying manual processes that can be automated, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deploy AI agents, and driving the development of a best-in-class AI-powered compliance program that enhances risk detection, monitoring, and reporting while maintaining regulatory precision.
While the title and license scope remain tied to Tensec Mexico, the CCO will also play a critical global-facing role, interfacing with compliance vendors and supporting our multi-country regulatory strategy.
This is a senior-level position for a compliance professional with strong judgment, cross-border experience, and the ability to lead both locally and within a distributed international context.
Location: Monterrey (Hybrid)
Positions in our hubs are hybrid and include core working days of Tuesday and Wednesday in the office. We provide flexible work options based on distance from our hubs. Tensec believes in the power of face-to-face, personal connection. As a result, we prioritize in-person candidates.
