Azure technologies. This position focuses on implementing, managing, and supporting customer environments to include
gathering customer specific configurations, building the environment for go-live, and. The role requires knowledge and
experience analyzing and articulating common business processes and decisions to solve customer issues. The employee will be
expected to work well in a small team and willing to share responsibilities with other team members as needed. They will interact
with internal staff, managers, and customers worldwide. A passion for technology and learning, and the ability to grow others are
vital for success in this role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Customer environment implementation and software configuration.
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution of implementation projects, adhering to stringent deadlines.
- Develop, evaluate, and enhance operational runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Optimize operational runbooks to bolster effective alerting mechanisms.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Provide technical guidance to Associate & SysOps I Engineers.
- Oversee the monitoring of customer environments utilizing Azure alerts and Operations Management Suite.
- Conduct rigorous Disaster Recovery testing to fulfill compliance mandates.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues while fulfilling on-call responsibilities with efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Identify and suggest operational solutions leveraging Azure Resource Manager (ARM) for optimal performance.
- Update and refine technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles for accuracy and clarity.
- Pinpoint and implement security enhancements and overall improvements.
- Execute changes necessary for maintaining compliance certifications.
- Provide support for internal infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless execution and integration.
Required Education and Experience
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
- Good knowledge of IT Compliance, policy development, and implementation.
- Excellent organization and ability to work independently.
- Outstanding communication abilities.
- Proven experience as help desk technician or similar customer service role.
- 5+ years network engineering and infrastructure experience.
- Experience with any of the following technologies, tools, and concepts:
- Foundational understanding of Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory.
- Automating processes using PowerShell, Azure PowerShell Modules, REST APIs, JSON or ARM Templates.
- Identity management using Azure AD, Okta, OpenID Connect, SAML.
- Working knowledge of various cryptographic algorithms and protocols (IPSec, TLS, SSH, AES).
- Network and application security device configuration and management (Cisco, Barracuda, Palo Alto, SonicWall).
Preferred Education and Experience
- Certifications: Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Server, Microsoft SQL are a plus.
- 3+ years of relevant Microsoft Azure experience deploying and managing cloud environments.
