We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic AV Design & Collaboration Engineer to join our Global Services Management team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident AV professional who thrives in the fast-paced world of IT and AV. The ideal candidate will take ownership and accountability for solving complex technical challenges, while contributing to the growth, optimization, and daily performance of our audio-visual environments across our global offices.
You will work closely with senior AV and IT professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilities, and architects. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience—particularly with Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms—and a passion for expanding technical knowledge in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and documentation of AV systems for meeting rooms, huddle spaces, and collaboration areas.
- Support configuration, testing, and deployment of AV systems, with a primary focus on Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
- Contribute to AV infrastructure planning, including cable layout and room design coordination with facilities and architects.
- Administer and maintain Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms, ensuring optimal uptime, performing software updates, and resolving technical issues.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for in-room AV hardware and software.
- Assist in configuring and managing control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron) and AV networking tools.
- Document system changes, configurations, and internal technical guides.
- Provide daily operational support for in-room technology and event spaces to ensure seamless meetings and presentations.
- Set up and support executive meetings, company all-hands events, and hybrid or livestream sessions.
- Coordinate with vendors and integrators during AV installations and upgrades.
- Engage in continuous learning and pursue certifications to deepen AV design and engineering expertise.
- Stay up to date on the latest collaboration tools, hardware innovations, and AV best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years’ experience in AV systems integration, support, or administration in a corporate or commercial environment.
- Proven hands-on experience with Zoom Rooms and/or Microsoft Teams Rooms setup, deployment, and administration.
- Familiarity with AV hardware (displays, microphones, cameras, switchers, DSPs) and an understanding of signal flow.
- Exposure to control and audio platforms such as Crestron, QSC, or Biamp.
- Comfortable working with both Mac and Windows OS, with basic networking troubleshooting skills.
- AI-based video tools, remote production workflows, or advanced analytics,
- Technically curious and eager to grow within a collaborative AV team.
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm when engaging with stakeholders.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and troubleshoot confidently.
- Thrives in a hands-on, onsite team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or actively pursuing certification.
- Zoom Administrator Certification or Microsoft Teams Admin Associate (preferred).
- Experience with digital signage, AV-over-IP, or remote management platforms (e.g., Crestron XiO Cloud, Zoom Device Management).
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
