Are you a SaaS sales-focused go-getter ready to make a significant impact? We're looking for our first Enterprise Account Executive in our new Tokyo office. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of our Japan team, laying the groundwork for our growth in the APJ region. As a proactive and passionate sales hunter, you'll be responsible for building and growing your own client portfolio. You'll engage with business decision-makers at enterprise-sized customers, cultivating long-term relationships and helping clients elevate their internal comms strategy. This role focuses on the APJ region, with a primary emphasis on Japan.
This is a hybrid role requiring minimum 1-2 days in the Tokyo office per week.
What you’ll be doing
- Work closely with a collaborative team to grow the Japan region for Staffbase.
- Become an expert in employee communication and engagement strategies.
- Drive revenue and consistently exceed quota
- Actively seek new opportunities, follow up with clients, and close deals
- Be part of the global Staffbase community, working on our newest geography, Japan
- Collaborate with global teams across EMEA and NA
- Manage complex sales cycles, using all available resources
- Work closely with Marketing and Customer Success teams to achieve goals
- Bring innovative strategies and ideas that align with our company's culture and values
What you'll need to be successful
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, ideally within web tech, collaboration, or communication
- Proven success in hitting and exceeding targets in Japan
- Experience working in global companies with offices in Europe and North America
- A competitive streak and a relentless drive to succeed
- Hybrid work availability -- this is not a remote role
- Experience in start-up/scale-up environments is a plus
- Ability to work with C-level execs, IT, HR, and communications teams
- High emotional intelligence, with strong listening and understanding skills
- Passion, humor, and an energetic attitude
