We are looking for a forward thinking, business growth leader! The Business Development Director is a critical business partner in the Genesys GTM function, Europe, Middle East and Africa region. You will drive a team of skilled business development prospectors across multiple countries to generate new opportunities for sales. We adopt an Account Based Engagement methodology that spans 1:1 through to 1:many motions, across the team, working in partnership with key stake holders to drive bookings and revenue.
As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will build strong and lasting relationships with your regional counterparts in marketing and sales, while reporting directly to the Vice President of EMEA Marketing.
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial to help continue to build a high growth business.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive new opportunities and pipeline to help sales meet aggressive growth targets
Work closely with Marketing on campaign planning, execution and follow-up
Understand how to build a sales development tech stack
Lead a regional team of SDRs across major markets in EMEA, while considering the different cultural aspects for GTM
Strong ability to recruit, train and motivate a geographically spread-out team, with clear career paths either within your own org, or another function at Genesys
Have a deep understanding of lead and opportunity management processes and workflows; be able to interpret different sources of data, see the ‘bigger picture’ and decipher insights to help reach company goals
Have a working knowledge of ABM/ABE/ABX with a desire to learn more to create shareable best practices
Aptitude and analytics capability to understand, position and sell technology products
Minimum Requirements:
10+ years' experience in Enterprise SaaS prospecting and/or sales
Proven leadership qualities and experience across multiple countries and cultures and consistently overperforming targets
Experience in selling CX, sales and marketing tools is preferred but not required
English-speaking
Experience in leading a team size of 30+ including directly leading managers and BDRs
Able to work flexible hours to collaborate with APAC/North America colleagues
Experience in managing vendors and/or outsourced team members
