The Business Automation team is designing, implementing, and maintaining intelligent automation solutions that streamline business processes and enhance data-driven decision making. We empower business and corporate functions through technology integration, robust data architecture, and process optimization, enabling teams to focus on high-value activities while ensuring accuracy and scalability.
Our team operates across multiple domains, maintaining shared services and supporting Pigment’s internal functions through automation solutions.
We work with a variety of technologies to build reliable data pipelines and automation workflows that support Pigment's growth and operational efficiency.
Our team tackles diverse challenges, including streamlining the employee onboarding journey from hiring to first day, building data pipelines that collect and analyze platform usage metrics, and creating dashboards that provide actionable insights to enhance customer success. These projects combine process optimization, data engineering, and business intelligence to drive operational excellence.

Role
- The Business Automation Modeler specializes in building and maintaining financial models using Pigment, our business planning platform. As a critical member of the Business Automation team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize Pigment models that drive business insights and decision-making.

- In addition to these core responsibilities, the Business Automation Modeler will also contribute to the broader Business Automation team's portfolio of projects. This includes working on data engineering initiatives, process automation solutions, and integration workflows that support various business functions across Pigment.
- You will have the opportunity to leverage your technical skills beyond financial modeling to help build robust data pipelines, automate business processes, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsabilities- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, and various business teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective Pigment solutions
- Lead model design design discussions and develop models of various complexities in Pigment, including workforce management and planning, revenue forecasting, expense planning, and scenario analysis
- Build and maintain data pipelines that feed into Pigment models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, using APIs and other connection methods
- Create intuitive dashboards and reports that facilitate data-driven decision making
- Document model architecture, assumptions, and methodologies for knowledge sharing and auditing purposes
- Support end users on how to effectively utilize your Pigment models and dashboards
- Continuously improve existing models based on user feedback and changing business needs
- Stay updated on Pigment platform developments and best practices
- When needed, develop and maintain Python-based automations and solutions to streamline enterprise processes
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess most or all of the following qualifications. Hands-on experience through personal projects will be valued equally to professional and academic experience for this role.
- 2+ years of experience with financial modeling, business planning, or FP&A
- Experience with Pigment or similar business planning platforms (Anaplan, Adaptive Planning…) - you will be able to access extensive training material and easily leverage internal expertise
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration (experience with dbt is a strong plus)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and data manipulation techniques

- Understanding of API integrations and web services
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git), and infrastructure as code concepts
- Proficiency in English and French
- A quick learner, especially with new domains - we work with diverse use cases, business functions, and tools. Pigment is a business platform, you must understand what you are building
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with critical thinking about corporate processes
- Good understanding of business operations
- Strong communication abilities - translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and active listening skills for accurately capturing business requirements
- Proven ability to manage simple projects, and coordinate effectively across multiple functional teams
- Experience in SaaS or technology companies
