Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled Chartered Accountants with 3 to 5 years of experience. As a key member of the General Ledger (GL) Accounting team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented Chartered Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving a timely and efficient financial close. You will collaborate with multiple teams, support critical accounting functions, and contribute to process improvements that help our finance organization scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Coordination & External Stakeholder Management:
Act as a key liaison for external auditors for standalone and consolidated audits.
Coordinate with auditors across multiple jurisdictions and facilitate smooth execution of audits.
Work closely with local bookkeepers and advisors to ensure compliance with country-specific regulations.
Prepare detailed audit schedules and support internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Maintain robust documentation and ensure adherence to SOX and internal controls.
Close & Consolidation Management:
Own key areas of the monthly financial close, including preparing and posting journal entries, managing bank reconciliations, prepaid, fixed assets & leases accounting and performing variance analysis to ensure accurate reporting.
Reconciliation & Analysis:
Accrual Management:
Cost Allocations & Forex Analysis:
Manage allocation of common costs across various entities and functions.
Review and validate foreign exchange gains/losses at the consolidated level, ensuring accuracy and reasonableness.
Systems automations and process improvements:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the ERP system and resolve reporting issues.
Actively participate in process automation and improvement initiatives, supporting system implementations and testing to enhance the efficiency of the close process.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in Big 4 or in GL / R2R function.
Hands-on experience with a major ERP system is required; Oracle NetSuite is highly preferred.
Familiarity with reconciliation software like Blackline is a significant advantage.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS; exposure to German and French GAAP is an added advantage.
Experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Prior experience in handling external audits and statutory reporting.
Exposure to SOX compliance and internal control frameworks will be a strong advantage
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle complex accounting matters.
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographies.
