Join the Legal Tech Revolution at Litera
Are you ready to shape the future of how law is practiced? At Litera, we’re on a mission to Raise The Bar™️ for the legal profession by delivering transformational and globally-trusted solutions to law firms and corporate legal teams worldwide. We’ve been a leader in legal tech innovation for 30 years and are leading the legal AI revolution to this day with most of the world’s largest law firms as our clients. If you’re passionate about building AI-forward solutions that scale globally and want your work to impact millions of legal professionals worldwide, this is your opportunity to be part of an extraordinary team that’s elevating the craft of law.
As part of our strategic growth and commitment to fostering collaboration and operational excellence, we are transitioning to a hybrid working model. Fully In Office - This position is based in Denver, Colorado and candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance, as this role requires on-site presence at least three days per week. This hybrid approach enables us to build a collaborative and innovative work environment while maintaining the flexibility that supports both productivity and work-life balance. We are actively seeking talented individuals to join our team in this exciting new phase of growth.
We're seeking an innovative AI Search Engineer to help build our next-generation Azure AI Search solution for the legal technology sector. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of information retrieval, generative AI, and modern cloud architecture—solving real-world problems for enterprise law firms.
You'll be designing and implementing sophisticated search experiences that leverage semantic ranking, vector search, and hybrid retrieval techniques, all while building elegant user interfaces that make complex legal workflows feel intuitive.
AI-Native Development: You actively use AI coding assistants like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Cognition Devin in your daily workflow. You understand how to leverage these tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality and architectural vision.
We embrace modern development practices and tools. Our team uses AI assistants extensively to accelerate development, and we value engineers who can thoughtfully integrate these tools into their workflow. We're looking for someone who sees AI coding assistants not as a replacement for engineering skill, but as a force multiplier that allows them to focus on architecture, problem-solving, and innovation.
We value clear communication, collaborative problem-solving, and building software that genuinely helps people work better.
Experience with legal tech, document management systems (iManage, NetDocuments), or highly regulated industries
We're building technology that helps legal professionals work more effectively. If you're excited about applying cutting-edge search and AI capabilities to real-world problems—and you love using the latest development tools to move fast—we'd love to hear from you.
The company culture: We emphasize helping each other grow, doing the right thing always, and being part of a journey to amplify impact, creating an exciting and fulfilling work environment
