Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Connector portfolios sit at the heart of many SaaS data platforms, because integrations determine how quickly customers can activate value. This Senior Engineering Manager role is notable for its focus on a “Connectivity” domain where reliability, API change management, and end-to-end data movement are product-critical. The listing also signals a mature engineering org: the remit is to co-own a portfolio alongside existing leadership, suggesting established systems with room for measurable step-changes.
From a SaaS career standpoint, the work maps closely to durable problems across B2B software: scaling integration throughput, maintaining quality as surface area expands, and balancing roadmap strategy with operational delivery. Exposure to ETL, pipelines, and API-centric architectures builds leverage for future platform roles, while the explicit emphasis on AI/LLM-assisted development reflects an emerging competency in modern SaaS engineering management—using tooling to improve delivery without eroding standards.
This role fits an engineering leader who enjoys being a technical sparring partner rather than a daily individual contributor, and who is comfortable owning a domain with multiple stakeholders. It will suit someone who likes translating product needs into platform investments, coaching teams through ambiguity, and treating connector reliability as a core part of the customer experience.

Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to co-own and scale our connector portfolio alongside an established leadership team. We've already 2x'd throughput through AI-augmented development – now we need someone to drive the next leap with us and see how far we can go, while raising the bar on quality.
You bring a strong data engineering background (ETL, pipelines, APIs), hands-on AI/LLM experience, and the classic engineering management skills to grow high-performing teams.
Some of the things you’ll work on:
- Team Leadership & Strategy: Lead and coach high-performing distributed engineering teams within the Connectivity domain, partnering closely with existing leadership. Take ownership of the technical roadmap, balancing tactical execution with long-term strategic planning.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of our connector portfolio - scaling what works, building what's next.
- Operational Excellence: Push for step-change improvements in throughput without compromising on quality. Combine proven engineering practices with AI-powered acceleration to ensure the team delivers robust, scalable data integrations that power the Adverity platform.
- Technical Oversight: Act as a technical sparring partner for the team. While not coding daily, leverage your engineering background to guide architectural decisions and unblock complex challenges.
- Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to integrate AI/LLMs into our connectivity workflows to automate processes and improve efficiency.
We’re excited if you have:
- Proven track record as a Senior Engineering Manager (or experienced EM) leading agile development teams.
- Capable of driving topics independently and taking ownership of your domain.
- Strong background as a hands-on Software Engineer (ideally Python) with deep understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
- Solid grasp of the current AI landscape. Hands-on experience implementing AI-assisted workflows or tooling.
- Ability to switch seamlessly between high-level planning and tactical problem-solving.
Why you’ll love it here:
- Flexible working hours and home-office
- Internal shares program (EDPP)
- Ergonomic workspace and cutting edge technology
- Budget for job relevant training
- Free company health coaching
- Regular team events (also remote) and a yearly global team trip
- Modern and stylish offices
- Sustainable merch for all employees
- Adverity Social Responsibility Days (+2 days paid off)
