Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Director of Product Management role stands out because it sits at the intersection of “product as a service” thinking and a live consumer ecosystem. Although the offering includes physical components, the mandate spans digital experiences and ongoing iteration—an increasingly common pattern as SaaS practices (roadmapping, telemetry, lifecycle design) move into hybrid product businesses.
From a SaaS career perspective, the remit is a strong proxy for building and operating a platform over time: setting a multi-horizon strategy, sequencing bets across initiatives, and translating qualitative fan demand into measurable product outcomes. The emphasis on prioritization and tradeoffs mirrors subscription product leadership, where capacity, retention drivers, and long-term roadmap coherence matter as much as launch execution. Leading and scaling a product team also develops operating cadence and decision frameworks that transfer across SaaS portfolios.
The role is best suited to senior product leaders who prefer ambiguity with clear accountability, and who can navigate complex stakeholder environments spanning creative, technical, operational, and commercial functions. It will fit professionals who enjoy balancing vision with delivery discipline and who want ownership over an end-to-end product roadmap rather than a single feature area.
