Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Tabs sits in a distinctly SaaS-heavy domain: contract-to-cash automation for finance and accounting teams, with an AI-native product positioning. For an Engineering Manager, that combination typically means building platform capabilities where correctness and auditability matter, while still delivering product velocity—an intersection that shows up frequently in modern B2B SaaS.
From a SaaS career standpoint, this role offers a strong vantage point on how product engineering, Product, and Design coordinate to ship customer-facing workflows that touch billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting. Managing delivery predictability, making architectural tradeoffs, and improving team processes are all skills that translate across SaaS companies, especially where reliability, integrations, and data-driven features become core differentiators as products mature.
This position is best suited to an engineering leader who prefers hands-on partnership and clear accountability: coaching engineers, setting a quality bar, and navigating ambiguity without over-indexing on perfection. It will fit someone who wants to be close to product decisions and comfortable balancing people leadership with technical judgment in a New York–based, product-focused environment.
