Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Craft operates a configurable SaaS portal built on a proprietary data platform that monitors real-time signals across millions of companies—an archetypal “data-intensive SaaS” problem where product value depends on reliability, scale, and clear decisioning. With the company described as post-Series B and globally distributed, the role sits in the part of the SaaS lifecycle where engineering leadership must balance platform evolution with predictable delivery for enterprise and public-sector customers.
For a SaaS career, this kind of engineering management position builds durable leverage: shaping technical strategy while staying close enough to architecture to challenge decisions and raise the bar on design quality. The partnership model with Product Management mirrors how mature SaaS organizations ship—tight alignment on priorities, roadmaps, and outcomes—while the stack (React/TypeScript, Node, GraphQL, AWS, Databricks, Python/Airflow) reflects common patterns in modern SaaS data and application layers.
This role best suits an engineering leader who enjoys coaching and system-building as much as shipping features, and who is comfortable operating across time zones. It will appeal to someone who prefers accountable ownership of a team’s execution and enjoys translating complex platform tradeoffs into clear direction.

What You'll Do:
Define and execute the team’s technical strategy, holding full accountability for roadmaps, planning, and on-time delivery.
Work closely with your Product Manager counterpart, defining and aligning on priority and execution
Oversee end-to-end engineering projects, taking ownership from initial concept design through to final implementation.
Build and nurture a high-performing, diverse, globally distributed engineering team through active hiring, empathetic mentoring, and career coaching.
Serve as the primary technical bridge between Product Management, Engineering, and Business groups to align goals and deliverables.
Provide strong architectural guidance and leadership to your direct reports and partner teams.
Who You Are:
Have a proven successful track record of leading and empowering software development teams for data intensive SaaS products.
7+ years of software development experience, including at least three years leading engineering teams.
You have a good understanding that partnering with the business to deliver real value is a key motivator for keeping your teams happy and healthy.
You practice radical responsibility and accountability, with a positive attitude, and a strong emphasis of keeping your teams from getting blocked.
Show curiosity through asking questions, digging into new technologies, and always trying to grow.
Strong team player, great listener, able to facilitate discussion and assimilate diverse opinions towards clear decisions.
Our current technology stack:
Applications: React, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Apollo
Cloud: AWS and Databricks

What We Offer:
Option to work as a B2B contractor or full-time employee
Competitive salary at a well-funded, fast-growing startup
PTO days so you can take the time you need to refresh!
100% remote work (or hybrid if you prefer, we have coworking place in center of Warsaw)
A Note to Candidates:
We are an equal opportunity employer who values and encourages diversity, equity and belonging at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, caste, or disability status.
Don’t meet every requirement? Studies have shown that women, communities of color and historically underrepresented talent are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Craft, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we strongly encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles!
