Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Snowflake operates in the data cloud layer of the SaaS ecosystem, where product value is inseparable from how customer data is collected, processed, and governed. A privacy and data compliance counsel in this context sits close to core platform decisions, influencing how privacy-by-design is implemented across product, security, and go-to-market workstreams. The remit spans multiple jurisdictions and emerging frameworks, reflecting the regulatory complexity that comes with enterprise SaaS at global scale.
For a long-term SaaS legal career, this role builds durable capability in translating evolving privacy rules into operational controls that engineering and commercial teams can execute. Experience shaping programs such as GDPR, cookie compliance, and regulatory readiness tends to transfer across SaaS categories because it strengthens the “how” of scalable compliance: documentation, risk assessment, process automation, and stakeholder alignment across product lifecycles.
This position fits counsel who prefer cross-functional partnership over siloed advisory work and who are comfortable influencing outcomes without direct authority. It will suit someone who enjoys turning ambiguity into practical guidance, communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, and maintaining a steady operating cadence as regulations and product priorities change.

Job Description
Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.
Join Snowflake and help shape the future of global privacy and data compliance. Snowflake is seeking an experienced privacy and data compliance attorney to be a core member of our Legal Privacy & Data Compliance team, working closely with partners across Legal, Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Go-to-Market organizations. You will thrive here if you enjoy balancing independent leadership with teamwork, driving initiatives forward while actively listening, sharing context, and building alignment across functions. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will regularly engage with colleagues at all levels to explain nuanced privacy and data compliance concepts and support informed decision-making.
Reporting to the Head of Privacy & Data Compliance, your work will span global privacy and data compliance programs, including GDPR, global cookie compliance, EU Data Act, EU Digital Services Act and related regulated frameworks, as well as supporting Snowflake’s global privacy reporting obligations. Throughout, you will be part of a supportive, inclusive team that values trust, partnership, and continuous improvement.
This is a hybrid role based in our Dublin (CA), Menlo Park (CA), or Bellevue (WA) offices.
