Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Software Engineer, Growth role stands out because it sits at the intersection of product engineering and commercial outcomes, a common pressure point in SaaS businesses where activation and onboarding materially affect retention. The remit touches both customer facing flows and internal platform capabilities such as experimentation, feature flagging, notifications, and integrations, signalling a SaaS environment investing in reusable growth infrastructure rather than one-off features.
For a long-term SaaS career, the work builds fluency in how SaaS products scale learning loops: instrumenting behavior, running A/B tests, and turning results into iterative product changes. Experience designing a growth platform and collaborating closely with Product and Design translates well to other SaaS contexts that rely on self-serve adoption, partner ecosystems, and measurable funnels. The emphasis on engineering quality and tooling also develops the operational habits needed when multiple teams depend on shared services.
This role is best suited to an engineer who enjoys ambiguous problem spaces where success is defined by user outcomes and data, not only delivery. It fits someone comfortable mentoring peers, influencing roadmaps, and working across backend and occasional frontend surfaces to ship end-to-end improvements in a SaaS product.
