Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Snowflake’s Marketplace work sits at a distinctive intersection of SaaS platform, ecosystem, and product-led distribution. Rather than building a single application workflow, this role contributes to a multi-sided surface where customers and partners discover datasets, apps, and AI agents, with the engineering challenges that come from global scale and high expectations for trust, performance, and usability.
For a SaaS career, Marketplace engineering is a strong way to develop instincts for platform thinking and end-to-end product delivery. The remit spans customer-facing experience and backend services, which maps closely to how modern SaaS companies ship value: tight feedback loops, measurable outcomes, and careful attention to reliability and security. Experience with scalable web architecture, cross-functional execution, and a broad language stack is broadly portable across data infrastructure, developer platforms, and B2B product teams.
This role tends to fit engineers who prefer working across layers and who enjoy translating product intent into durable systems. It also suits someone motivated by iterative improvement to an existing, widely used surface area, where changes need to be thoughtfully designed, tested, and rolled out with partner and customer impact in mind.
