Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Sales Engineer I role sits at a classic SaaS inflection point where product-led security needs to be translated into credible, real-world outcomes for buyers. Huntress operates in managed cybersecurity delivered as a subscription platform, which makes pre-sales technical work central to adoption, retention, and long-term customer trust. The remit spans technical storytelling, risk framing, and practical guidance, reflecting how modern security SaaS is sold alongside operational impact.
For a SaaS career, the role builds durable experience in bridging product capabilities with business urgency, particularly in a domain where proof and clarity matter. Regular interaction with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering creates a broad view of how feedback loops shape roadmap, packaging, and enablement. Exposure to common enterprise security concepts like SIEM integrations and threat context also strengthens a technical foundation that transfers across security and infrastructure SaaS categories.
This position is best suited to early-career sales engineers who prefer customer-facing work grounded in technical depth and structured communication. It will likely appeal to professionals who enjoy presenting to mixed audiences, diagnosing problems collaboratively, and representing the product as a trusted advisor. Remote-first work with periodic travel fits someone comfortable owning outcomes independently while staying aligned with cross-functional partners.
