Positions in this job family are responsible for marketing to and finding new potential customers, to support increased product sales of the organization. Activities include:
- Identifying business development opportunities using market research and business acumen;
- Pursuing new business relationships and transitioning potential buyers to sales;
- Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products & services;
- Responding to customer inquiries;
- Supporting sales opportunities, in conjunction with the sales and product teams, and conducting initial product demonstrations when necessary;
- Building and driving marketing activity towards key customer personas;
- Developing medium to long-term business development plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
