Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
EcoVadis operates a SaaS platform in the sustainability and risk intelligence space, where product capabilities depend on dependable data flows, integrations, and governance. Featuring an Enterprise Architect here highlights a common inflection point for maturing SaaS companies: aligning business strategy, product direction, and technology choices while expanding the product ecosystem and embedding AI more deeply into operations.
From a SaaS career standpoint, this role builds durable architecture leadership skills that transfer across subscription businesses: setting target architectures, rationalising application portfolios, and guiding modernisation without disrupting delivery. The remit spans data architecture and responsible AI adoption, which are increasingly central to how SaaS firms scale analytics, automation, and platform capabilities. It also emphasises decision support, translating trade-offs for executives, a hallmark of senior architecture work in SaaS environments.
This position suits an architect who prefers operating at the boundary between strategy and execution, comfortable moving from enterprise roadmaps to hands-on initiatives with solution architects and tech leads. It will appeal to professionals who enjoy lightweight governance, pragmatic standards, and stakeholder-heavy work across product, engineering, data, and security in an agile setup.

- Lead strategic architecture initiatives such as application rationalization and modernization
- Manage strategic technology risks across the organization
Governance & Decision Support
- Define and steward architecture principles, standards, and guardrails
- Review and challenge major architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with long-term goals
- Support executive decision-making with clear trade-offs and options, not just diagrams
- Govern the adoption of new tools and platforms across the organization as well as decommissioning efforts
- Continuously improve architecture governance practices to remain lightweight and effective
Collaboration & Enablement
- Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between business, product, engineering, data, and security stakeholders
- Partner with Solution Architects and Tech Leads to align local designs with enterprise direction
- Work with IT and Security teams to ensure architectures align with security strategies and policies
- Participate in agile, cross-functional teams, providing architectural guidance for specific business domains
- Translate business, product, and technical requirements into architecture specifications for selected enterprise initiatives
Data, AI & Emerging Technologies
- Collaborate on data architecture, analytics, and data governance models (e.g. data mesh, federated ownership)
- Guide the responsible adoption of AI/ML and agent-based capabilities across the enterprise
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends with a business-value lens, avoiding hype-driven decisions
Operational Excellence
- Contribute to the improvement of IT service management tools and processes
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the Enterprise Architecture practice
